Opportunities
There are dozens of ways to volunteer with USA Girl Scouts Overseas (USAGSO)--Heidelberg.
We'll help you put
your skills, your interests and your availability together--to help girls
grow strong.
Change a Life.
It's Forever.
Leaders/Role Models
Wanted! Did you ever wish you had the chance to make a big
difference in the life of a little girl? Are you looking for a great
way to get to know your daughter's friends? Are you looking for an
outlet for your own creativity and skills? If you answered yes to
any of the above, You may want to become a Girl Scout leader! It's a
fun way to use your creativity and to help girls become all they can
be. We have 5 levels in our Girl Scout family that need leaders and
positive role models: Daisy (kindergarten-1st), Brownie (grades 2-3),
Junior (grades 4-5), Cadettes (grades 6-8), Seniors
(grades 09-10), and Ambassadors (grades 11-12. If you have 3 or 4 hours a month to give, and if you
don't mind being paid for your work with little-girl smiles and
laughter, this may be the perfect opportunity for you. We need
leaders/role models for all age levels. Start Today--the girls
are waiting for you.

"In Girl
Scouting, I get so much more than I give." That is a common sentiment
that is often expressed by volunteers and girl members alike. The
benefits of volunteering for the Girl Scouts are abundant and
rewarding. You can make a difference in the life of one or many young
girls by offering your time and knowledge to their troop. Serve as a
role model and at the same time strengthen your own confidence and
sense of self. Help the youth of today become the leaders of tomorrow.
We offer extensive training to ensure that you feel ready to take on
the responsibility of leading a troop and we are also here for
assistance at any point. You are not going into this alone! Training
includes an orientation to Girl Scouts and training for work with a
particular age level. "Safety-wise" is also taught to ensure that you
are aware of the guidelines necessary to keep the girls safe.
